Mangave ‘Mission to Mars’ – Red Mangave

Mangave ‘Mission to Mars’ is a striking succulent hybrid known for its intense burgundy-red coloration and dramatic architectural form. Its thick green leaves are heavily covered with burgundy-red spotting, with the markings often merging together to create an overall deep red appearance.

The long, narrow leaves form an attractive arching rosette, with their tips naturally curving downward. Upturned leaf margins reveal contrasting cinnamon-coloured spines, adding texture and definition to the plant. The red coloration is strongest when the plant receives plenty of direct light.

Mangave is an intergeneric hybrid between Manfreda and Agave, combining the faster growth and distinctive patterns of Manfreda with the structured rosette form of Agave. ‘Mission to Mars’ grows faster than many traditional Agaves, making it an excellent choice for succulent collections, rockeries, containers and bold architectural planting.
