Pieris japonica, commonly known as Japanese Pieris, is an elegant broadleaf evergreen shrub valued for its year-round foliage and delicate seasonal flowers. Native to Japan, Taiwan and eastern China, it produces attractive new leaves in reddish-bronze tones that gradually mature into glossy, leathery green foliage.

In late winter and early spring, Japanese Pieris produces graceful, drooping clusters of delicate flowers for around two weeks. Its refined foliage and attractive flowering display make it an excellent choice for woodland-style gardens, borders and feature planting.
