Pinus parviflora ‘Ogon Goyo’, sometimes known as Golden White Pine, is a distinctive slow-growing evergreen conifer admired for its unusual golden foliage and compact form. In spring, attractive red buds emerge from among the cream to golden needles, creating a striking seasonal display.

As the foliage matures, it develops attractive bluish-green tones that contrast beautifully with the small decorative brown cones. Its compact growth habit makes ‘Ogon Goyo’ an excellent choice for rockeries, feature planting and bonsai.

Like other Japanese pines, it responds well to pruning and can be carefully shaped over time to create a distinctive living sculpture. It performs best in moist, well-drained soil and is tolerant of both coastal conditions and frost.
