Pinus strobus ‘Macopin’ is a distinctive Eastern White Pine cultivar known for its impressive cone production, even at a young age. This mid-sized evergreen develops an open, irregular form with broad branches and soft blue-green foliage, giving it a relaxed and natural appearance in the landscape.
Originating as a witch’s broom discovered in Macopin, New Jersey, ‘Macopin’ offers a unique growth habit compared with many other White Pine cultivars. Its manageable garden size makes it well suited to larger residential landscapes, woodland gardens and specimen planting.
A hardy conifer with attractive year-round foliage, ‘Macopin’ performs best in full sun and provides excellent structure and texture to the garden.
