Pinus thunbergii ‘Yatsubusa’ is a compact dwarf form of Japanese Black Pine, prized for its attractive emerald-green needles and naturally neat growth habit. Unlike standard Japanese Black Pine varieties, ‘Yatsubusa’ remains relatively small, developing into a compact shrub that reaches approximately 1.2m in height at maturity.
Its manageable size and evergreen foliage make it an excellent choice for compact garden spaces where a striking conifer is desired without excessive growth. It also works beautifully as a feature plant in courtyards, rockeries, containers and Japanese-inspired gardens.
