Pittosporum Tenuifolium ‘James Stirling’ (James Stirling Pittosporum)

Pittosporum Tenuifolium ‘James Stirling’ (James Stirling Pittosporum) is a fast-growing evergreen shrub valued for its dense, fine-textured silver-green foliage carried on contrasting dark stems. Its upright, bushy habit makes it particularly useful for creating attractive hedges and privacy screens, while the soft foliage colour provides an excellent backdrop for other garden plants. Small, dark purple to near-black flowers appear in spring and are subtly fragrant. 

Adaptable and relatively easy to maintain, ‘James Stirling’ performs well in full sun to partial shade and prefers freely draining soil. It responds well to regular trimming, allowing it to be maintained as either a formal hedge or a more natural screening shrub. Its quick establishment, evergreen foliage and ability to tolerate coastal conditions make it a practical choice for residential landscapes, screening and boundary planting.
