Plectranthus argentea ‘Silver Shield’ is a striking herbaceous perennial grown primarily for its bold, silvery foliage. The soft, velvety leaves create a luminous effect in shaded or partially shaded gardens, making it an excellent contrast plant for mixed borders and container displays.
In summer, it may produce delicate bluish-white flower spikes, although it is often grown for its ornamental foliage rather than its blooms. This fast-growing, heat-tolerant plant performs best in warm climates and is widely used as a seasonal bedding plant, indoor feature, or shaded patio accent.
