A hardy, evergreen shrub with distinctive rusty stems and lanceolate to elliptic leaves. The dark green upper foliage contrasts with the softly hairy, rusty-toned undersides, providing year-round texture and colour to native gardens and landscaped areas.
From September to October, clusters of small white to yellow flowers form terminal panicles up to 10 cm across, followed by silky-haired capsules containing seeds. Well-adapted to a range of soils and habitats, this shrub is ideal for wildlife gardens, screening, hedging, and low-maintenance landscaping
