Pratia pedunculata (Blue Star Creeper), also known as Laurentia fluviatilis or Isotoma fluviatilis, is a dense, evergreen ground cover with tiny light green leaves and a carpet-like growth habit. In late spring and summer, it produces delicate, star-shaped pale blue flowers that brighten pathways, rock gardens, and borders.
This versatile plant thrives in full sun to partial shade, tolerates a range of soils, and grows well in moist conditions. With its spreading, low-maintenance nature, it’s perfect for filling gaps between stepping stones, creating lush green mats, or softening edges in garden designs.
