Protea ‘Pink Ice’ – Hardy Pink Protea

Protea ‘Pink Ice’ is a stunning, tough evergreen shrub prized for its upright growth habit, long flowering season and beautiful silvery-pink blooms. It develops into a dense, well-branched plant reaching approximately 2.4m tall and nearly as wide, making it an impressive feature for larger garden spaces.

The attractive long, narrow, leathery leaves provide year-round structure, while the silvery-pink flowers appear from autumn into winter. In favourable conditions, flowering can continue for many months, making ‘Pink Ice’ one of the earlier and longer-flowering Protea varieties.

Known for its exceptional hardiness, ‘Pink Ice’ offers good frost tolerance and is more adaptable to heavier soils than many other Protea cultivars, although it performs best in reasonably well-drained soil. It is an excellent choice for specimen planting, hedges, screening and containers, while its distinctive flowers are highly valued for cut-flower arrangements.
