Pyrus ussuriensis, commonly known as the Manchurian Pear, is a medium-sized deciduous tree prized for its stunning seasonal display. In spring, it produces creamy white, lily-like flowers, followed by brilliant autumn foliage in shades of green, yellow, orange, and red. Its wide-spreading habit makes it perfect for shade, avenue plantings, parks, and large gardens.
This hardy tree thrives in full sun with humus-rich, well-drained soils and is highly tolerant of wind and disease. Low-maintenance and long-lived, it grows to approximately 9–10 metres in height and 7–8 metres in width, providing an elegant focal point in any landscape.
