Rhipsalis puniceodiscus is a graceful epiphytic rainforest cactus native to Brazil, admired for its soft, cascading growth habit and lush, trailing stems. Unlike desert cacti, it thrives in shaded, humid environments where it naturally drapes from tree branches like a living green waterfall.
Its slender, spineless stems form elegant trailing curtains that can extend over time, while tiny star-shaped flowers appear subtly along the segments. These are followed by distinctive reddish to purple fruit, which adds a striking ornamental contrast against the green foliage.
