Pot Size

Rhodanthe anthemoides is a charming Australian native perennial prized for its delicate white papery flower heads and soft grey-green foliage. Previously known as Helipterum anthemoides, this compact species forms a low, spreading plant approximately 30cm high and 60cm wide.

The narrow greyish-green leaves provide an attractive backdrop for the daisy-like flowers, which feature bright yellow centres surrounded by crisp white papery bracts. Flowering can occur over an extended period from winter through to early autumn, providing long-lasting seasonal interest.

Rhodanthe anthemoides is well suited to temperate gardens and performs best in semi-shaded positions with well-drained soil. Plants can become untidy after several years, but cutting them back after flowering helps rejuvenate growth and maintain a more attractive shape.
