Robinia × margaretta 'Casque Rouge', commonly sold as the Casque Rouge Wisteria Tree or Pink Robinia, is a beautiful deciduous ornamental tree admired for its abundant clusters of fragrant rose-pink flowers that resemble those of a wisteria. In late spring to early summer, long pendulous racemes cover the canopy, attracting bees and other pollinators while creating a spectacular floral display. Delicate blue-green, fern-like foliage provides a light, airy appearance throughout the growing season before turning soft golden yellow in autumn.
Fast-growing, hardy, and drought tolerant once established, Casque Rouge thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its rounded canopy and elegant flowering habit make it an outstanding feature tree for avenues, parks, cottage gardens, and larger residential landscapes. Combining vibrant floral colour, graceful foliage, and excellent resilience, this ornamental robinia provides outstanding seasonal interest with minimal maintenance.
