Salvia leucantha ‘Velour Pink’ – Pink Mexican Sage

Salvia leucantha ‘Velour Pink’ is a fast-growing, low-maintenance perennial valued for its attractive pink flowers and reliable garden performance. Its vigorous growth makes it an excellent choice for establishing new gardens quickly, while its colourful blooms add seasonal interest to borders and mass plantings.

This versatile Salvia performs well in most well-drained soil types and is particularly suited to dry or gravel gardens, larger containers, cottage-style landscapes and coastal areas. Once established, it tolerates dry conditions well, although an occasional deep watering is beneficial during prolonged periods of heat.

Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage vigorous growth and abundant flowering. Pruning back after flowering helps maintain a neat, compact appearance and encourages fresh new growth.
