Scaevola aemula ‘Fan Dancer’ – Purple Fan Flower

Scaevola aemula ‘Fan Dancer’ is a hardy, fast-growing Australian native groundcover admired for its lush green foliage and masses of vibrant purple, fan-shaped flowers. Blooming generously from spring through autumn, it provides long-lasting colour and creates an attractive display in outdoor spaces.

This vigorous variety forms a dense, spreading mat of foliage, making it particularly useful for covering garden beds, rockeries and retaining walls. Its cascading growth habit also makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, containers and slopes where trailing plants can soften hard edges.

‘Fan Dancer’ is relatively easy to maintain and requires minimal watering once established. It performs best in a sunny to partly shaded position with well-drained soil. Applying a suitable fertiliser in spring encourages fresh growth and abundant flowering.
