Sedum dasyphyllum, commonly known as Corsican Stonecrop, is a compact, mat-forming evergreen succulent prized for its tiny blue-grey leaves and dense, carpet-like growth. Native to the rocky cliffs and crevices of the Mediterranean region and North Africa, it is perfectly adapted to dry, well-drained conditions.
Its delicate foliage forms a soft cushion that may develop attractive pink or purple tones during cooler weather. In late spring to summer, clusters of tiny white, star-shaped flowers appear above the foliage, adding seasonal interest and attracting pollinators. Ideal for rockeries, alpine gardens, containers, living walls, and between paving stones, Corsican Stonecrop is a beautiful, low-maintenance choice for water-wise landscapes.
