Sedum Makinoi ‘Tornado’ (Tornado Stonecrop) is a striking, low-growing succulent known for its tightly packed, swirling rosettes of bright green foliage. Its compact, textured growth habit creates a dense carpet effect, making it an excellent choice for adding visual interest to rock gardens, terrariums, containers, and small-scale groundcover plantings. In bright light, the foliage can deepen in colour, enhancing its ornamental appeal throughout the year.
Highly adaptable and easy to grow, this sedum thrives in dry, sunny conditions and requires very little maintenance once established. It is ideal for waterwise gardens and low-care landscapes, offering excellent coverage while suppressing weeds. Its resilience and compact form also make it a favourite for edging paths, filling gaps between stones, or spilling gently over pot edges.
