Senecio serpens, commonly known as Blue Chalksticks or Blue Fingers, is an attractive evergreen succulent prized for its slender, upright blue-grey foliage. Its fleshy, finger-like leaves create a distinctive architectural effect, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, succulent displays, borders and containers.
This drought-tolerant plant spreads to form a dense, colourful groundcover and thrives in sunny positions with well-drained soil. Small white to creamy flowers may appear above the foliage during the warmer months, adding subtle seasonal interest. Blue Chalksticks is particularly suitable for low-maintenance gardens and water-wise landscaping.
