Verbena × hortensis ‘Vanessa™ Purple’ (Vanessa Purple Verbena)

Verbena × hortensis ‘Vanessa™ Purple’ is a vibrant, free-flowering ornamental plant admired for its clusters of rich purple blooms and fresh green foliage. Its colourful flowers create a striking display over a long flowering season, bringing brightness and texture to garden beds, borders and outdoor containers. With a naturally branching, semi-trailing growth habit, this attractive variety spreads gracefully while maintaining a compact form, making it a wonderful choice for adding continuous colour to sunny garden spaces.

Hardy and heat-tolerant, Verbena × hortensis ‘Vanessa™ Purple’ is ideal for hanging baskets, patio pots, rockeries, groundcover plantings and mixed garden borders. It performs best in full sun, where it produces abundant flowers and maintains its vivid colour through warm weather. Regular watering, good drainage and the removal of spent flowers help encourage healthy growth and prolonged blooming. Its low-growing, spreading habit makes it particularly useful for filling gaps and creating colourful displays in both residential gardens and decorative containers.
