Viburnum suspensum (Sandankwa Viburnum) is a dense evergreen shrub valued for its coarse, leathery dark-green foliage and year-round structure. Blooming from early spring through late summer, it produces clusters of tubular white to pale pink flowers that stand out beautifully against the deep leaves. As the seasons progress, the blossoms give way to clusters of red berries that attract songbirds.
Reaching up to 3–3.6 m in both height and width, this versatile shrub is an excellent choice for privacy screens, hedging, or as a rich green backdrop in the garden. Thriving in sun to part shade and tolerant of a variety of soils, Viburnum suspensum is hardy, low-maintenance, and ideal for adding year-round interest to the landscape.
