Wisteria floribunda ‘Macrobotrys’ is a spectacular deciduous climbing vine renowned for its exceptionally long, cascading flower clusters. Also known as Japanese Wisteria, this vigorous variety produces graceful racemes of fragrant lavender-purple flowers that hang dramatically from the stems, creating a stunning display when in full bloom.

Its twining growth habit makes it an excellent choice for covering pergolas, arches, fences, walls and other strong garden structures. The foliage consists of attractive green, pinnate leaves that provide a lush backdrop during the warmer months before turning yellow in autumn.

‘Macrobotrys’ is best grown in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil and a sturdy support structure. Regular pruning helps control its vigorous growth, encourage flowering and maintain the desired shape.
