Yucca rostrata, commonly known as Beaked Yucca, is a striking evergreen architectural plant prized for its dense, symmetrical crown of narrow blue-grey to silvery-blue leaves. As it matures, it develops a sturdy trunk topped with a rounded rosette, creating a dramatic sculptural feature in the landscape. Mature plants produce tall flower spikes carrying clusters of creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers, adding further ornamental interest.
Highly drought tolerant and low maintenance once established, Yucca rostrata is ideal for feature planting, rock gardens, xeriscaping, large containers and contemporary landscapes. It performs best in full sun and exceptionally well-drained soil and is particularly suited to dry garden designs.
